Cotford Odes--
20. May 2017 at 14:02

Having just arrived home from the Village Open Day at the School Hall, where lots of useful information could be gleaned from the various representatives of companies which serve our community, a little pamphlet on limericks obtained from a courier for Berry's Coaches gave me an idea--

We could have a collection of limericks relating to our village if anyone would kindly add to this thread--

The only words I could come up with are these:

"In this village of Cotford St Luke,
There is many a dog known as 'Duke'
So, to call that name loud,
Will attract quite a crowd,
--- (any cat in their midst is a fluke!) ---"

There was a  man  from Luke’s Mews
Who  found  a hole in his trews
His wife said “hold tight  -
I’ll put that right,
Or for sure those trews you will lose”
