It's been a while so...

What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs in the evening?

I don't know - but does it have anything to do with sundials or shadows?   Huh

---or maybe it's the mobility through the ages of man--
Crawling on all fours in the morning of our lives, walking on two legs through the noontime, and being aided by a walking stick in the evening of life---?

Or maybe I'll just give up-------!  Smiley

That's what comes of pondering whilst on my sick bed!

(I have fallen prey to the Cotford Tummy Bug that's doing the rounds of the village at the moment.)

Poor Marilyn, I hope you'll soon be feeling better.  We rely on you to keep us all entertained and well informed so we don't want you feeling under the weather.

I believe this question was once the riddle of the sphynx, although perhaps worded more elaborately.

I was going to start a new topic - then I remembered this one was open!  Smiley

When it's so quiet on the Forum, I sometimes get a little bit bored.  Sad

I just wondered if I asked 'ever so nicely' if someone (maybe someone who doesn't usually post on here!) would just think of a subject to get the ball rolling.

I promise we'll be kind to you if you're shy and you will find you'll soon be a part of the 'Forum Furniture.'

So I'll just watch this space, shall I, and be ready to welcome anyone brave enough to break the silence with open arms? (Metaphorically speaking!)  Wink

Thank you for replying!

Just between you and me, her_in_doors, (there's no CCTV around so I know I'm safe telling you this!) ; I saw a few logged on earlier and I hoped upon hope that one of them would just pop on here and say 'Hi' - we could have made a whole conversation out of that one little word-----but, alas, 'twas not to be------ Sad
