Cotford St Luke Forum - Farmers Market

Villager2 Member Offline Posts: 13	Farmers Market 24. Feb 2010 at 14:57 I was passing the shop the other evening and happened to see a notice stating the village farmers market was no longer! Does anyone know why? or if it is temporary/permanent?

Feb 2010 at 11:02 Last time I spoke with the butcher who was the coordinator of the market she said that there just wasn't enough village support to make it financially worthwhile for the stall holders. I believe there was also a clash with other more profitable markets.

I am sure that sometime in the future it will start up again. I would like to say how much it is missed and more than that we miss the craft market which was just getting settled and improving every month thanks to their organiser.

Welcome to the Forum, bumbles!

It would be nice to think the Farmers Market will start up again sometime: I miss it, too.

Apart from the obvious purpose of purchasing produce [whoops, is that too many words beginning with 'p' in one sentence?!]---it was a good time to meet and chat with neighbours over a 'cuppa'.

Hope it happens again one day--------- Huh

I hadn't heard of 'The six p's', Tempus so I've just looked on Google following your reply and learnt much from the info I've stumbled across there!
