It is usually kept just behind the Bar, just ask Kim or Shaun.

Hi, Beanie - just when I thought everyone had gone away for the weekend, it was lovely to hear from you!

Thank you for your interest in the petition: if anyone asks Shaun or Kim in The Chapel if they can sign the petition, it's kept 'under the counter' (to avoid being defaced by spillages, I imagine!)  Wink

Thank you for keeping the ball rolling. We hope to wind it all up by the end of next week and present it to one of the Parish Councillors.  Smiley

Also, I should mention, that the Co-op shop has been doing an excellent job in drawing people's attention to the petition by displaying it on top of their counter so either place is an opportunity to add your signature.

Many thanks to everyone involved in this proposal!   Smiley

I`ve been here on and off Marilyn, but like you, thought the forum has been very quiet this weekend.

----we'll keep the volume of chit chat to a whisper then so as not to disturb you, Tempus!

I was a bit worried about Nobody's announcement of the rumour he'd heard that you may be joining us - after all, this is the world wide web and would the Chapel have the capacity to accomodate the crowds that such news would have attracted-----?  Wink

Right then, after that major digression; (and all because certain members were missing--------- Wink ); back to the topic --

If you've been tracking the Petition's Progress this is just to let you know that Aveline Court, Nicholl Place and Milsom Place have now been covered.

Baileys Gate, West Villas, South Villas and Park View will be visited in the next couple of days.

I have not been able to access the houses and apartments in the old hospital building (Regents Court and the Clock Tower) due to the security system - not least the Boxer dog who was patrolling inside the Clock Tower gates! He's probably lovely and friendly but I didn't want to put it to the test!  Undecided

So, could you sign in the shop or the pub, please, - or maybe I could let someone who lives there have some forms if anyone would be kind enough to cover that area for us. Thank you.  Smiley

Baileys Gate, West Villas, South Villas and Park View have now been visited so that is the whole of the village covered with the petition.

We apologise if we did not meet you but most of the calling from door to door happened in the daytime when people are often out at work, etc.

It was felt that, in the evenings, when we would have found most people at home, many are busy preparing evening meals, getting children ready for bed, etc. and find it a nuisance being disturbed.

Tomorrow I will collect the petition from the shop and the pub and we will arrange presenting it at the next Parish Council meeting.

Thank you, everyone for your support!  Smiley

Having spoken to and been advised by Mr. John Wilkins, Vice Chairman of Cotford St. Luke Parish Council, the Petition, which has been signed by 415 residents, is to be presented at the next Parish Council meeting on Tuesday 23rd. February. The meeting is to be held at the community centre in Cotford at 7p.m.
