The Valetones were the first band on stage ------ what an outstanding performance!

The summer evening atmosphere was set as we danced to 'Echo Beach', 'Walking on Sunset', 'Summer of '69' and on to such numbers as 'Honky Tonk Women', Joe Cocker's 'Unchain My Heart' and the group's own song 'Never too Old to Rock'. **

When the crowd applauded and commented on the fantastic performance, we felt proud that it was for our own band from Cotford!

The entertainment continued with performances from the Tree Frogs and Snappa bands - all in all a stupendous evening!  Smiley 


** Colin, Ray, Phil and Rob ---- you've just got to record this onto disc 'cos I so want a copy!  Wink

Another Date for your Diaries - Friday 13th August to Sunday 15th August is The Annual Carew Arms Beer Festival at Crocombe.
The Valetones will be headlining on Friday Evening (13th) on stage 8.30/9.00 pm ish
If you haven't seen us yet why not come along enjoy some nice beers and get (vale)TONED !!  Smiley

Yes we're only at The Carew Arms on Friday night. However we're at The King Alfred Inn at Burrowbridge on the sunday afternoon (15th) from about 3 pm. We're playing an acoustic session up on the roof terrace with fab views out over the Somerset levels (weather permitting)  Wink
