What a star Villager1 is - he collected both bikes this morning and they're now back and in full working order! Would def recommend that you contact him if you have any bicycle problems, he's cheap (in the nicest way!) and a great chap.

I disagree, I vaguely recall the nuclear revolution having limited effect on bills as the costs were recouped over the life of the plant, on government orders. It was the promise of cheap electricity, limitless in its supply, that swung opinion. Given that the consultation documents indicate that the new plant will have a base operational life of sixty years and in practise they frequently extend this (Hinkley "A" being a case in point, not to mention other reactors around the country) I don't see any alarming increase on the horizon. On the contrary, with gas, oil and coal prices set to spiral ever upwards as resources dwindle it is not building new mass capacity that will drive bills up (notwithstanding the suppliers propensity to take the p*** when wholesale prices drop and retail prices don't),
----what a fantastic evening!

Thanks, Colin, for letting us know about this event.

The whole evening had the flavour of Cotford with our own band The Valetones rocking us with the likes of Valerie, Brown-eyed Girl, Walking on Sunset-------and (my favourite since I've heard this band's rendition of it!)---Summer of '69!

Elvis (aka John) wowed us with classics such as The Wonder of You, Love Letters straight from the Heart, Blue Suede Shoes and a whole lot more.

Halycon then took to the stage and led us into a different dance style with songs like 20th Century Boy. (It's not just in the Chapel's kitchen that chef, Jordan, can dish up a feast!)

-----and thank you to whoever turned the rain switch to 'off' and gave us a fine, dry evening for the event!
